Power Loss Reduction via Distributed Generation System Injected in a Radial Feeder

چکیده

The energy demand all over the world is increasing rapidly day by day. In traditional power systems, plants are located far away from consumer’s premises. This in turn causes a substantial amount of loss both transmission and distribution. general, distribution system has more losses than occurred on side. It employs that there will be significant difference between generated consumers (physically) generating stations. Therefore, electric utilities always remain under stress due to such non negligible which direct impact financial management efficiency as well. To address this issue different technique have been introduced reduce line improve efficiency. best among these techniques reduction through Distributed Generation (DG) effective other techniques. paper we taken three 11kV feeders (located at Bannu) case study for prescribed an attempt made increase integrating capacity DG into radial feeder. results analyzed mathematically, however Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP) simulator used test bed. Finally, obtained presented tabular graphical form terms clearly defined parameters.

Radial Basis Neural Network Based Islanding Detection in Distributed Generation

This article presents a Radial Basis Neural Network (RBNN) based islanding detection technique. Islanding detection and prevention is a mandatory requirement for grid-connected distributed generation (DG) systems. Several methods based on passive and active detection scheme have been proposed. While passive schemes have a large non detection zone (NDZ), concern has been raised on active method ...

A Direct Matrix Inversion-Less Analysis for Distribution System Power Flow Considering Distributed Generation

This paper presents a new direct matrix inversion-less analysis for radial distribution systems (RDSs). The method can successfully deal with weakly meshed distribution systems. (WMDSs). Being easy to implement, direct methods (DMs) provide an excellent performance. Matrix inversion is the mean reason of divergence and low-efficiency in power flow algorithms. In this paper, the performance of t...

Improving the Conditions in a Radial Distribution Feeder by Implementing Distributed Generation

Distribution feeder is the final stage in the delivery of electricity to consumers. The feeder can be radial or networked. Radial feeders leave the power station towards the consumers without any connection to other power supply. Networked feeders have multiple connections to other supply points. It is common for long radial feeders for voltage to drop along the way and for losses to increase w...

Optimal Sizing and Placement of Distributed Generation in Radial Distribution Feeder Using Analytical Approach

A Radial Distribution network is important in power system area because of its simple design and reduced cost. Impact of Distributed generation in radial distribution feeder is increased because of its application of green technology and it also meet out some of the power system issues. Allocation of Distributed Generation at non-optimal places leads to increased power loss and reduced bus volt...

Perspective of MAS in Power System via a Fuzzy Framework

Multi agent systems (MAS) are popularly used in practice, however; a few studies have looked at MAS capabilities from the power engineering perspective. This paper presents the results of an investigation concerning the compatibility of MAS capabilities in different power engineering categories. Five MAS capabilities and seven power system categories are established. A framework for applying MA...
